1. What should I expect during my first session?
Your first session is all about getting to know you and what brings you in. We’ll talk about your goals, your history, your medical history, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I cover a lot of information, but it saves us both a lot of time in future visits so you don’t have to repeat your life story over and over.
2. How long is each session?
The initial session is about 90 minutes, and follow-up sessions typically last 50-60 minutes, but we also offer different session types and flexibility with scheduling. Take a look at our Investment Page to see the options.
3. Do you take insurance?
I currently accept Cigna, Aetna, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, Moda, PacificSource and Optum (which includes United Healthcare), and I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I use Alma and Headway for insurance verification and billing.

5. Where are you located?
My in-person office is located at: 6214 SE Milwaukie Ave Portland, OR 97202. There is plenty of street parking available on Sundays.
6. Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy for clients located in Oregon and Washington. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.
7. What’s your cancellation policy?
I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged $50. I typically waive that fee for the first time, since there’s no way we can predict when an emergency might happen.
8. How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, burned out, or just want support navigating life—therapy can help. We’ll explore what’s going on and create a plan that actually helps you get relief.
9. How often do we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions or every other week. But it’s really up to you and what works for your schedule. As progress is made, we may space things out. We’ll decide together what makes the most sense based on your goals and capacity.
